On rare occasions it is possible to find a horse that possesses the highest dressage qualities and talent, whilst remaining a true pleasure to ride and train by any rider young or old, professional or amateur. In such a short time Bellario has proven his value as a sire and competition horse following in the footsteps of stable companion Royal Oak II. In his first year of competition Bellario was winner of most preliminary championships, state novice champion, unbeatable at young horse classes including the Swan Valley Young Horse Championship, he then went on to win the Prestigious indoor Preliminary championship as well as the leader board for 2009 and then the WA state young horse overall Champion for 2009. The saying ‘to know this horse is to love this horse’ could not be truer in Bellario’s case. His temperament is second to none and along with being extremely rideable he is also kind and forgiving in a way that makes him mature for his age.
As a sire, Bellario has produced more Elite foals from limited number of mares in his first season than any other stallion we know. He stamps the foals with his lovely, compact, modern type but above all exceptional character. In movements his foals continue to impress with many consistently scoring well above 8.0 for gaits.
Followers of the German breeding scene will know that Bellario’s sire Belissimo M continues to shine as a sire and on the 2010 Hanoverian dressage stallion rankings, has rocketed up to 5th place in the world! Bellario is the only licensed stallion son of Belissimo M in the country.

Sire Bellisimo M
In the first years of his career, his sire Belissimo M achieved impressive successes. He was the best auction horse in Münster-Handorf, Federal Champion of German riding horses, vice Federal Dressage Champion and fifth at the World Breeding Championships Dressage for Young Horses. He is an important representative of the Bolero-bloodline that is very important for the German dressage horse breed.
Dam’s sire Wolkenstein II was the reserve champion of the Verden Stallion Licensing in 1992, German Riding Horse Champion in 1993 in Mannheim and winner of the stallion performance test in Adelheidsdorf in 1993.
Dam Sire
Wolkenstein II is certainly one of the most important contemporary sons of Weltmeyer. He has sired around 40 approved sons and nearly 500 registered mares.
Performance stallion Pik König follows in the third generation of the pedigree. He had spent almost all his life at the traditional service station Oberndorf. He was the only one out of four Pik As xx-sons who sired male offspring for the Hanoverian breed. Various show jumping offspring competed at international level, like for example Pirol 37/Peter Weinberg and Prag/Peter Schumacher. His most famous sons, the full brothers Pik Bube I and II, supplied offspring for different disciplines.
Florentiner II, Sebald and Aktionär follow in the next generation of the pedigree

Bellario is a representative of the Hanoverian dam line 665/Kineda (by Kingal - Lord Wilibald – Schluckan – Juli - Nording), who was recently very successful in the Westphalian breed. The stallions Apiro (privately owned stallion in Rhineland-Palatinate), Carte Lor (privately owned stallion in Bavaria), Disco-Boy (privately owned stallion in Westphalia), Estilo (privately owned stallion in Mexico), Festival Westfalia (Moritzburg state stud stallion), Maximum Joe (privately owned stallion in the Netherlands), Picador, Piloto (privately owned stallion in Mexico), Rendant (Warendorf state stud stallion) and River Phoenix (privately owned stallion in Bavaria) descend from this line, just like the internationally successful event horse Sioux 9 (by Sinus xx-Radetzky) under Horst Karsten.
